The Story…

It’s been a century since Heroines—magical, feminine warriors of the goddess Harmony—saved the continent of Melodia from a dictator and founded the nine queendoms, a time referred to as the Year of the Heroine. With their stylish battle outfits, divine tattoos, and glittering weapons, these nine young women were a force to be reckoned with—and the world certainly took notice. Urged on by the Heroines, each queendom rededicated itself to the goddess and vowed to strictly follow Her teachings…perhaps a bit too strictly.

Cue modern day, where Harmony’s followers and monarchy are the source of immense pain for those who don’t fall in line. Hatred and indifference are rampant. Truth tellers are shunned. Systemic oppression is celebrated, disguised as being unwilling to anger the goddess. And all the while, those hurt by the mistreatment seek revenge, unaware of what lurks in the shadows of their rage: a dark, ancient spirit named Lyric, poised to take advantage of injustice for her own plan of reclaiming the earth.

Harmony Herself, the complete opposite of Her devotees, has had enough. Another culture-changing shift is needed. Those in positions of power will no longer use Her name for evil. It’s time for another Year of the Heroine.

One by one, a new crew of nine arises, facing off against various Lyric-influenced foes who threaten each queendom’s peace. These femmes are ready to take on the world’s B.S….if they can sort through their own, first.
