About Nicole

Ever since Nicole (she/her) was a child, she’s been creating stories that feature female-heavy casts, with plenty of magic and adventure sprinkled in. It’s no wonder that her greatest inspiration comes from the Magical Girl genre of anime, something she consumed heavily and cherished as she grew. Young women fighting evil in cute, sparkly outfits? Unnecessary transformation sequences? Romance, adventure, and the cheesy power of friendship? Sign her up!

Nicole decided in her teens that she would become a fantasy author, forever borrowing elements from her beloved genre. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Writing from Houghton University in 2021, and is now ready to share her first novel—Vixen, Heroine of Solé—with the world. Just don’t ask for the first version of the manuscript that she wrote as a teenager—yeesh.

Fun Facts at a Glance:

*She is a theology nerd and progressive queer Christian extraordinaire, passionate about the intersection of faith and social justice.

* Nicole owns an enamel pin collection—over 100 pins and counting!

*She has a pet fish named Hunter who was gifted to her during freshman year of college. He’s still kicking…or swimming…or whatever. She’s not even sure if he’s a he, tbh.

A word from Nicole:

I hope that my work makes your life a little bit brighter. It could be as simple as a laughing at a joke, or fangirling over a ship. It can be as grand as finally feeling seen, or receiving healing words that you never knew you needed. Either way, I’m elated to be a part of your reading journey.
